ABOUT ME
LUCAS ARRUDA | Hey! I’m an independent filmmaker, video editor, cinematographer, and producer based in the greater Boston and Providence area. My portfolio spans from educational media, documentary and narrative storytelling to branded content and commercial video production, with a strong focus on post-production and cinematography.
I currently work as a Multimedia Studio Producer at Northeastern University, partnering with academic teams, creative departments, and corporate collaborators to produce educational courses, studio shoots, live productions, and marketing content. Alongside this role, I’m also a Video Editor and Director of Photography at AE Ventures, where I lead post-production and capture on-location footage for events, interviews, and B2B marketing projects across the country.
I earned a BFA in Film/Video from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where I wrote, directed, and produced several short films. My senior thesis, Malibu Soda, is a queer, experimental narrative film influenced by pop music video aesthetics and screened at independent film festivals.
Outside of client and institutional work, I continue to make independent films and music videos, and I’m always open to collaborating on projects that value strong visuals, messaging, and creative experimentation.
